Terms of sale
The short version: you place an order and pay for it, or ask us to get in touch first and pay afterwards. Then we deliver.

How an order is made
- If you pay at the checkout, your order is confirmed as soon as the payment goes through. We message you on WhatsApp about delivery.
- If you place your order without paying, it isn’t confirmed yet. We reach you on WhatsApp to confirm the pieces, the delivery charge and payment, and your order is confirmed once we’ve both agreed it and your payment has arrived.
We may decline an order, for example if a piece has sold out, we can’t deliver to the address, or a price on the site was plainly wrong. Our pieces are made in small numbers, and now and then one is sold moments before a payment reaches us; if we can’t send you what you’ve paid for, we tell you and refund you in full.
Prices and payment
- Prices are in Indian rupees and include all taxes.
- Delivery is charged on top, worked out from your pincode; see shipping & delivery. Pay at the checkout and that’s the charge. Order without paying and it’s an estimate, which we confirm with you before you pay.
- The price you ordered at is the price you pay once we confirm, even if the site changes later.
- You can pay at the checkout by UPI, card, net banking or wallet. Payments are handled for us by Razorpay: your card or UPI details are given to them and never to us, and nothing of the sort is kept on this site.
- If you order without paying, we share UPI or bank transfer details on WhatsApp from +91 63025 90613. We will never ask for your card number, PIN or OTP.
The order summary you can download is a record of your order, not a tax invoice.
The pieces
Photos show the range. The piece you receive can vary a little in colour, glaze, pattern placement and size. That’s part of glazed ceramics, not a fault. See returns, cancellations & refunds for what happens if something arrives broken or wrong.
Using this site
The photos, words and design on this site belong to The Mitti Tales or the people who made them. Please don’t copy them for commercial use, and don’t place orders you don’t intend to go through with.
Our responsibility
As far as the law allows, what we owe you for any order is limited to what you paid for it. Nothing in these terms takes away your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
Complaints
Tell us first, and we’ll try to put it right. Our grievance officer acknowledges a complaint within 48 hours and resolves it within one month.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts in Bengaluru have jurisdiction.
